It is illegal in CA to put in front windshield. Those links show you that many have been pulled over and ticketed for this. The plate has to be mounted on the front of the car. Inside the cabin counts as the middle of the car and is therefore not in compliance to your state law. Sorry.
Secondly it looks ricey to have the plate in the window besides being illegal. YMMV.
