Real driver enthusiasts know what makes the gt-86 a good car and can appreciate the car for its worth. I dropped in by the speedway in Las Vegas and the guys were very interested in the BRZ when I pulled in for some gas. They followed me out onto the highway and into town, friendly bunch of guys
I've gotten fair share of hate; people are going to judge get used to it.
Some dudes were parking a CLK-class and taking their time doing it, were sitting in the middle of the street with their reverse lights on, so I went around them and the dude looked at my car and yelled BULLSHIT! Hah I bet the "Merceds" was a rental and someone was jealous.
Last night on the Las Vegas strip some asian dudes pulled up in a BMW, one opened the door and proceeded to throw up, first into his hands and then onto the ground right next to me in my BRZ. I don't know if it was intentional, but I was offended. License plate was Beverly Hills BMW. rolleyes
Dirty cheeseburger-gut meatheads and old people who'd never be able to get themselves in a car like that of course hate. Mercedes S-Class drivers tend to run away at sight of my car on the road, I give them a little play but I don't chase. And there's always the frozen looks from WRX drivers who can only drive 30mph on the road (or they burn a tank of gas in one run), I only sometimes get a wave back from WRX drivers, other times it's probably them feeling self righteous about having a a WRX.
My biggest peeve is when I'm sitting in traffic and I eye someone in the rear view mirror or off to the side staring at my car, cupping their hands in a "why" motion while mouthing something like "whyyyuhhh". I even got that from an outback driver yesterday in denver colorado. D-d-d-deal with itt! (note, the first time I saw an audi R8 I had this same reaction, I feel bad now)
