Image perception is a massive determining factor in vehicle purchase. If it wasn't, Porsche and Ferrari would go broke.
I didn't see the "poor vs rich" post, but if one car is associated with teenage kids hanging out at night and playing drift kings in an industrial estate, I'd buy the other one.
