I can't relate to the miata either.. It's like a secretary's car..
I'm too tall for it as I stare into the top of the windshield. I know a guy nearby that has one and he has an aftermarket steering wheel so he can fit in it.
Capable or not.. It's not for everyone.
The FRS is much easier to live with on a daily basis in comparison.
If you get one... Do yourself a favor and drive it for a few thousand miles before you do any mods.. I think it's fine right out of the box.. And I'm used to lots of V8 torque.. The FRS is nicely balanced in its execution.. Power wise and handling wise.. It's pure and gives great feedback to the driver.. Has a nice mechanical feel to it.. Refined yet visceral feeling..
I modded and screwed up more cars than I care to admit.. Always started with more power until I upset the whole package..
If you want a fast car.. Buy a fast car.. Nuff said.
