I have been running on the same diff and tranny oil for a couple years now. No way you need to be swapping it less than once a year. I agree that it shouldn't be scary and the costs need to be factored in. I tell all my buddies to expect to pay around $600 for a track weekend and plan your track weekends during the year accordingly.

I'm with you on this. I used to track my S2000 and there wasn't a lot of expense involved. The key is to have a lightweight car, not some overweight beast that burns through consumables. The FRS has larger brakes than an S2000 so I would think that with track pads and aggressive street tires the stock brake hardware should do just fine with around 300 hp. Running R comps changes things a bit but then brings with it all sorts of needed modifications.
