Oil changes were 80 bucks on special. Transmission fluid? Don't even ask. Brake fluid had to be changed before every time because the fluid had absorbed water in between. Stock front pads would die in a single day so I had to put on race pads. Mine were $400+ for a set of PFCs that, judging by wear, could do 5-7 days before wearing down. Granted, I overbrake, especially on those pads that grip so much better. The rotors warped on the very first session and were brand new. They also wear down real quick on that car. I got about 6.5mpg on the track according to the computer. That meant I was really getting more like 5.5mpg. Buying gas at the track is a ripoff, but it supports the track. So track days are cheap?

We are talking about BRZ/FR-Ss though, not boats also called BMW 5 series. Throw some ATE Super Blue and some PFC08s on your BRZ, and I bet the stock tires and brakes last at least 4 weekends. You can get a great set of OEM tire replacements for $500. Fill up your car before the day starts away from the track and then if you need more get some when you go get lunch and then fill up after you leave the track. Or do like I do and bring a couple 5 gallon jugs filled with 91 octane non ethanol fuel. Don't scare the n00bs away from doing track days/weekends. They certainly aren't cheap, but they aren't 5 track days = a supercharger expensive.
