Haha. I do NASA race WEEKENDS for $600 to $800 in my SpecE30, and the closest track to me is 3.5 hours away, most are 6 to 9 hours. You might want to rework that math and it is almost always more cost effective to do a whole weekend versus one day. $500 in wear and maintenance for one day eh.
