So after a little more experience with this new setup, I feel pretty confident saying the following:

1) Drone in the "normal" driving ranges is definitely reduced, if not altogether eliminated from some areas. This means normal driving around town is much quieter...the drone around 1800-2200 RPM is greatly reduced, as is drone under normal acceleration. Drone on deceleration while in gear is slightly reduced as well

2) Drone in the upper ranges (freeway speed) has increased. There was little to no drone around 80mph before, but now there is a noticeable amount. Not deafening, but definitely increased over where it was before

3) The resonant drone that was right around 1800-2200 RPM seems to have shifted up to around 3200-3500 rpm, which is probably why it's now noisier while cruising at 80mph.

Overall, it was a nice improvement, since 90% of my driving is around town at speeds under 55mph, and a lot of short acceleration (like from stop signs, turns, stop lights, etc). The drone has been significantly scaled back in those conditions, but it IS still present. Just more manageable/livable.

So, in the end, if you're concerned with noise I'd suggest just going with a regular cat-back or changing the tips on your stock muffler. The resonator doesn't fix the issue, but it does make it a bit easier to live with.

If I had to rate the "every day use by a normal person" desirability on both setups, I'd say the regular Berk muffler delete was around a 4/10. With the resonator it's probably around a 6/10. Not a huge improvement, but noticeable.
