G37 is at complete opposite end of the spectrum.
What they have in common: sporty look, 2 doors, back seats
where they differ: weight, power, everything about driving feel, how they should be driven.
I figure though, a lot of people buy sports cars for the looks and the cool factor, not necessarily to drive fast or enjoy driving fast. For those people, either car is fine. G37 is quieter, more luxurious, better highway cruise. BRZ better on gas, has better looks IMO.
