I sold my low mileage 08 S2000 CR so that I can get the FRS/BRZ when it comes out. Do I miss the S2K? Sure I do. But there are a few short comings of the S2K that the FRS/BRZ does not have. Of course money can solve all these issues but thats not the point.
1) Convertible - That means I need to get a rollbar for track and also even a relatively new CR flexes in the corners.
2) 2 Seater - That means can't transport tires. Don't want to have to add a hitch and trailer to transport tires.
3) High Seating Position - The high position with no height adjustment really bothered me. I need to slough in order to see out the car clearly.
4) Gas Mileage - Not very fuel effecient.
5) Discontinued - Well, parts will eventually be less and less available and aftermarket support will be less and less.
6) Short Throw Shifter - Some people like it but I prefer the regular S2000 shifter.

Do you think that the driving experience in the FRS will be more involving, more direct, more uncompromising that the CR? If so, and you are right, I'll be really pleased.
