The BRZ was never marketed or designed to target 1/4 mile times or drag racing. It was designed to bring back the feel of the older Japanese cars. It was designed to be a car you can drive everyday then take it to the track on the weekend for fun. It was made to drift around a corner and make you excited while doing it. For that, it has enough power. If you look at track times on various sites, it already beats many cars with more horsepower around a track.
I would compare this car to a work of art. Some people won't get it, some will find it amazing. I find myself wanting to go drive this car just because. The only thing I wish they would change is the torque dump at 4k rpm. I have a 450 hp car, and I hit the speed limit in 2nd gear. It's not fun to drive on the street unless you want your license revoked.
