There is nothing wrong with the OEM brakes. I'm a 71 yr-old former SCCA racing license holder who likes to stop as well as go. The firmer pedal feel is just one of the cheaper things one can do with the car that improves the drivability for about $100. As I wear the original pads I'll be trying some streetable alternatives as replacements. I installed the TRD CAI without trying other possibilities. Based on my limited experience with racing intake systems, it looked like the one likely to yield the best drivability. Others might make a small amount of more HP, but I suspect they would be peakier and less drivable.
