If I reset the average mpg display when I get on the freeway I have seen up to 41.3 mpg or so on my commute when traffic is slow and steady (no stop and go). Since the meter is high by about 2 mpg compared to manual calculations I am getting close to 39. I have the automatic and keep it in 6th in manual mode unless it slows below the shift point. I shift up as soon as I can. I figure if I can't go fast I might as well see how good I can get the milage.

My combined milage, city/freeway commute is between 30 and 34 mpg.
