The iPod lead charges the 30GB and my iPhone 4s but doesn't seem to provide enough power to charge my 160GB. Anyone know why - it's not like it's new so shouldn't be affected by the old voltage change. If I was going to have a "non-charger" I thought it would be the newer phone.
And, is there any way I can amplify or step up the voltage in the iPod cable to provide the required extra juice? I quite like the iPod app the HU came with but ideally I'd like to be able to leave the 160GB iPod in the car for that purpose.

I have a 30gb 5.5gen ipod connected to a Pioneer HU in my Sequoia and have some sort of battery issues.. It seems the battery drains while the HU is off and KIND OF charges while it's on. I wonder if your problem is the same.
