I said one possibly going to the other two not that there were only two. I'm wondering if there are only two going to the engine because of the explanation of why you aren't running a surge tank. What you just said seems to confirm this.
That leaves one left to fix the issue of fuel not getting from the drivers half to the passengers half. There is no need for a pump to do things with the return nor would that help the situation of not enough fuel on the passengers side, so I feel it is safe to assume that the leftover pump is just moving fuel from the drivers side to the passengers side somehow in whatever "Magic" way you chose.
