If the FR-S ends up coming out with the option for a TRD s/c kit I will most likely be all over that. Will probably only give it about a 40hp increase but I feel that that is all it will need. Those looking for more power will most likely just be doing swaps.
I'm guessing stock for stock with S2000 will be 1 secondish quicker in the 1/4 mile than the FR-S/BRZ. S2000s run 14s don't they?

I completely agree. I currently own a Comptech Supercharged NSX. It's a hoot to drive but the more I track it the more I wish I kept it stock. On the track, i'm not really that much faster than an N/A and on some really tight tracks i'd be surprised if I was any faster at all. The thing heatsoaks after a long'ish session. Then you have to worry about an intercooler/aftercooler or meth/water and a standalone...the worry list just keeps on getting longer.
My Tacoma is also TRD supercharged. It's great to drive everyday but it too heatsoaks mildly on hot socal days.
$0.02... On a daily driver the SC is great. I actually prefer it. For a car that will see some (or a lot) of track time I prefer N/A and N/A bone stock really with a proper oil cooler and trans fluid cooler if auto. If not N/A i'd consider a turbo with a fat I/C.
Sometimes the confidence of being able to get home w/o having to call a tow truck is worth more than 50-75hp.
