Prioritize the reasons you like/dislike the car, how important is practicallity to you? How important is HP, fuel consumpion, handling characteristics etc... what can/can't you live without? Can your top concerns be resolved by modding?
Certain issues can be fixed by with mods. Practicality, handling characteristics, and fuel consumption are not so easily changed.
What would your next car be? How does it stack up with the 86 under the same circumstances?
