I believe you but at 4k? Thats almost 15% of the cost of the car.
Don't get me wrong I agree you get what you pay. Still...
I drove an a track prepped S2000 with Motons that were 6k. And after you hit a certain price point it's like anything similar the only place you can tell the difference is the weight of your wallet.
