That is the size I ran last winter. We had more snow than we've had in a long time, and the car worked great. I used Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60s. I was pushing snow with the lower part of the front bumper a couple of times on my way into work, but the nannies combined with a great set of winter tires kept me moving forwards and under control. Generally speaking, for snow use, you'll want a skinnier tire with more sidewall (hence the 16" rim size) for the best bite. You will give up some dry handling, but the trade-off is worth it.
