So, no supersports past 250. I really like the ninja 650r (and the sv650 as wel), and think that should be a perfect starter bike for me.

Thanks again. Really helped me out with my decision. Going into this, I was orginally looking at the gsxr 600 - that bike is faster than some liter bikes! I didn't even realize how fast those things are. I come from the car world, where 4 cylinder = slow and safe, which doesn't seem to be so much the case in bike land of course
