I'm with you man. I've already determined that the max Ski/Snowboard length will be between 160 and 170CM. The 180s will have to fit between the front seats. I think you'll be able to do 170 cm on a diagonal.
I just went skiing with my 1990 NA Miata yesterday. 162cm fit in the passenger seat perfectly with my boot bag. The tips just touch the soft-top.
I had one of the hitch style bike racks and they are much better for mountain biking. Much easier to mount the bike, more stable, and "cleaner". I'd recommend that for cycling.
Rear wheel drive sports cars are epic in snow. All you need is winter tires and then it's "Durifto!"
