The synchros now negate all this crap. My MT toyota pickup is 19 years old. 160k miles, original clutch. I've never rev matched, double clutched, or blipped it. I spent years driving it like I stole it.

You don't need to do all that shit, but don't go and post crap about how it's stupid on public road.
Even been on the highway in 5th/6th and want to pass in 3rd? Double clutch and rev match like a king, it takes less than a second and the gear goes right it and it's just as smooth as an automatic.
