And look what I have on my dash now - gauges incl oil temp. At the moment I'm using my HKS OB-LINK from the OBD@ port with the carscope app but I'm 99.999% it will work with an ELM327 and torque. Just need to wait for my ELM327 to test.
Can also play music and have gauges at the same time as this Bluetooth dongle will work with my USB stick plugged into my cheap USB hub.

I'd like to thank the academy... actually @ 2forme, @ Narcoden, @ sav, @ Ghostmerlott and @ ph0en1xtk for their help and encouragement. Special big shout out to @ 2forme who has been very patient with this car stereo and android virgin and of course supplied the most valuable root files and @ Narcoden who with a couple of sentences gave me the encouragement I need to try the install myself.
