There isn't going to be an exact release date (ie: april 14th). that is impossible. the car will be released and once they are available at dealerships they will be sold... no dealer in their right mind would wait and sit on a car for two weeks or even two days to sell it. once they buy the car from toyota and it shows up on their lot its for sale.
i call b.s. but then again if you're getting cars directly from toyota off the production line some way some how touche to you... the rest of the world doesn't operate that way though.
