btw my uncle shoots with a d700 also he says he loves the dept of field on the body lol
You uncle is very wise. I usually recommend to the people on my Tips and Tricks thread on NASIOC that they should take a lot of time learning how to shoot with a prime lens, because the lack of zoom really makes you be more patient and learn how to compose your shot better. I shoot with a D700 currently and I love it for much of the same reason
