Do one or two autocrosses first if you can find some close by, they are cheap and fun and will teach you a lot in a short amount of time. Then ask around locally to find the best beginners track if you have options. Then find a club that you want to run with, connect with them to register for a HPDE in a novice group with an instructor and start enjoying some track time!
