Here are my observations:

-Subaru states it's demographic is older and a bit more mature, so it price for the BRZ reflects that.

-Comments about the FR-S interior being inadequate and how people want to switch to BRZ due to the better interior indicates that BRZ owners by and large will be people who care about amenities from the factory

-Subaru owners will be older for the most part, and will be daily driving for the most part.

-Scion owners will be younger and contain a larger % of the "boy racer". Daily drivers who are weekend warriors.

My Conclusion

-That when I go to the local track, or when I pop open a magazine.....FR-S drivers/owners will by and large OutNumber BRZ drivers at the race track. They will be younger, more apt to driving faster (be it good or bad, cause lets face it, there probably will be a higher % of immature people behind the wheel of the FR-S). The Scion guys like myself that don't give a crap about having the missing amenities are either A) Prefer to just do aftermarket mods to the interior and accept the HVAC layout or B) Care about taking it to the track more than most and the non standard Features that come in the BRZ don't matter to them.

BRZ owners/followers care about the interior way to much to make up the majority at the track based on the fact that they DO care about dual climate control, navi, heated seats...etc. Cause who in their right mind is buying a freaking loaded car as their track car? "Oh yeah, I'm at the track so I need to keep my ass warm, and have my Navi tell me which turn is coming up next at the track". No Body. No, you buy a bare bones car to be your track car. No Body at the AutoX I've ever seen was taking their fully loaded luxury version of said car out. And if it did come with that stuff...it's now all disappeared cause they got serious and started gutting the car like a real enthusiast would.

And I find it funny that the BRZ fans are wanting the FR-S front end more than FR-S owners are wanting the BRZ's headlights. They recognize that the FR-S is cosmetically more appealing, but they turn to the Subaru because they value the interior standard features more. What would happen IF Scion decided that there would be a Premium FR-S and it came with the same interior setup? Umm...they would put a hole in Subaru's buying demographic that's what. Go look at the Pole on here of the FR-S vs BRZ...it's a land slide in favor of FR-S. So, if the FR-S had the same interior...who would buy the BRZ? There are some who are straight brand loyal, but I don't think there are enough that it would make it fair to Subaru if FR-S came with a Premium setup standard. The BRZ sales would be trailing the FR-S...at least based on the Pole on this site it would.
+1

Well said sir.
