I don't get it...

1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT 0-60 mph 7.6
2012 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T 0-60 mph 7.8

2013 Scion FR-S (Manual) 0-60 mph 6.2
Honestly I think people put down this car's acceleration times a little much. It does very good for an n/a 4 cylinder. Yea its not a stop light drag queen but if you wanted that you should slap yourself for buying this car.
I like to look at classic muscle cars as a good example of quickness. Yea they're not the fastest by today's standards, but I'm a huge muscle car fan and it shows how much technology has advanced in 40 or so years that a 4 cylinder sports coupe is faster than an old v8 and much better fuel economy & emissions:
(Disclaimer: I'm not saying the twins are better than any of these cars. Its personally one of my dreams to own a classic muscle car, ideally a big block of course

)
1964 Ford Mustang (V8) 0-60 mph 7.3
1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 0-60 mph 7.9
1970 Dodge Challenger T/A 0-60 mph 7.0
Of course anything with a big block, or any modern v8 will smoke the twins.
I guess the summary for my post is OP: learn to downshift.
Just don't get discouraged when a mazda 3 or focus st smokes you at a stoplight. This isn't a drag racer!
