Hi all! I haven't read too much of this thread. However, I wanted to get some thoughts from you guys. I've had my license for a while and still haven't pulled the trigger on a bike yet. I'm 5'9 and 150 lbs. I was planning on starting on a 250 until the new ninja 300 arrived.

My question to you guys, do you think the ninja 300 would be a good bike to learn on? How safe and dangerous do you think it would be to ride in NJ/NY? I have completed the MSF course and would think about taking a refresher with the 300 should I buy the bike.

Any thoughts or opinions are welcome! Thanks!
