btw ask anyone who has this cheap head unit. They have no problem with it and it probably does more than you current aftermarket headunit.
I have a $600 clarion headunit and i cant even make calls with it or listen to my music wirelessly over the BT from my phone.

I can stream over bt, use sat radio, hd radio, cd, iPod, control pandora through my head unit etc so I'm pretty sure it'll do more than either base system.
How do you know it'll be less clumsy btw? Have you used both?
All Ive seen recently is the scion lovers and fans of the base version bitching about those who are willing to pay for extra features. I haven't noticed anyone posting their disappointment (in the sme angry way you do) that scion isnt offering multiple trims, etc lately. I'd like to know which options I could get in the scion but who knows when I'll get that info. Personally I want the heated seats, the HIDs, the alcantara/leather seats and the telescopic wheel but I'm not bitching about those who want more or less. So far neither offer exactly what I want as far as I can tell. Maybe I can with the scion but I don't know. I do know that with the Subaru I have to pay for stuff I don't want. I'm fine with that even if it's not ideal.
Also your opinion is in no way more valid than those people anyways (same with mine). The back and forth stuff needs to end and I'm guessing it will once specs are released. At least then we will really know what's going on.
