I can appreciate the upgrade to a larger supercharger but why was the original underspec'd? Is it that the 2L flows a lot more than the engineers predicted. Also it seemed a quick swap are the tunes optimized and not just running rich seems like a lot of time was spent tuning the original wheel then the new wheel ust appeared out of now where.
Where I live we have emmisions inspections where they plug into the ODBII, any codes even if reset within 100 miles fails so the tune has to be bullet proof for a longevity perspective.
Also does the larger blower add more stress on the front crank bearing? I've heard of supercharger stress wear out alternator bearings from the load, but I imagine the front crank bearing would be receiving a larger load.
Any history with Vortecs on Subaru boxers long term ?
