Maybe it's because I don't have a family, but the 86 is just as practical as the FWD hatchback I used to drive, and way more fun.

I don't see the need for three extra doors, comfortable seating for 5, or all that extra room. I use those things <5% of the time I drive. I can easily fit my girlfriend, my cat, my bike, and groceries. My point being, practicality is a relative term in my eyes.
