to me some of the letters just look a little weird ... particularly the O, L, and E. I'm sure it is all personal taste though, and I see what you (or your coworker) were trying to do with the O... kind of carry over the kink from the Toyota 86 logo?
The L could be longer, carry it over more horizontally at the bottom. The E is just too stylized IMHO. But I would like to see it slanted more to the left, elongated arms to indicate motion or speed.
Definitely a great effort though, don't take my criticism the wrong way please.
I too see the 80's rock/metal band influence and that's not why I didn't like it... I've listened to my fair share of Def Leppard and Metallica.
