Hate to bump an old thread, but thought you guys may want an update.

There is still an investigation pending and I have received a court summons from the police. Have added a few more pics for your viewing pleasure.

Yes, TC was off, I actually said it from day one to the police and insurance whenever questioned. Like I said I wasn't out hooning at that time and I was confident I was under the speed limit so I took the honesty approach and told them EVERYTHING.

Today though I got my EDR (Event Data Recorder) data though and a short report from the technician. (This was requested by me)

Here is what I have worked out so far:
I wasn't speeding. Yay!!

The EDR only records in 0.5 sec intervals (at least the speed, accelerator, RPM etc), the air bag sensors do have reports in milliseconds, but they only cover a second or so of data and are pretty much useless (unless you want to figure out how fast you were spinning around).

I actually exited the corner just fine (even the EDR shows this to some extent), no under steer or over steer as far as I can remember.

It's actually on the straight section of road after the corner, when I loose control.

PS, I could be misinterpreting the above EDR information which is why I am saving the really exciting data for another post. The plan is to speak to a Toyota Tech about the readout and get a better understanding before any conclusions are drawn. Overall there are about 4 things that don't make sense looking at the report and I will go and investigate these further.

Here is something to think about, have a look at the photos:
Final reading from ECU at T=0 has the steering at 230 degrees to the left (from EDR report). This matches the drivers side tyre, but if you look at the passenger side tyre and the actual steering wheel, you get an angle of let's say around 45 degrees to the right. Interesting no?
