FWIW, I had no problems flashing the STG1 tune. But my car is on "E" right now and I would really like to load the E85 tune (via map switching)...after I drive to the station on my ~93 pumpgas.
I totally understand HOW to do the map switching (with the CC stalk)...just not seeing how to LOAD\FLASH to enable it.
Again, any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Hey Szippy -
These guys are on the right track but let me shed a little more light on it. Every time you cycle the ignition, the car reverts to whatever is in Map 1. The problem with this is 100% safety concerns. If you've got the pumpgas map loaded into Map 1, and then let's say hypothetically like you described, you've got the e85 map in Map 2, and e70 in Map 3, and then you fill the tank with e85 and switch to Map 2..
technically you should be fine right? You would be IF you remembered 100% of the time to switch to the appropriate map
every single time you cycled the ignition/turned your car on. We realize that sounds simple enough, and I'm sure 99.9% of the time, everyone would remember. But that 1 time out of 1,000 when "someone" forgets to switch,
could be enough to blow the engine and create a VERY unhappy customer.
As we've stated since the beginning; safety is, and will always be the top priority with our calibrations. And until we're able to build in a failsafe or automatic Map switching mechanism (and it's in the works), we just can't load both e85 and pumpgas calibrations on the same flash. We know how eagerly people are waiting for this capability, and this thread will literally be the first to know when we make this functionality available. Until then, trust me.. we feel your pain. But we'd much rather have you deal with this inconvenience for the time being, rather than the (albeit small) possibility of dealing with the MUCH BIGGER problems forgetting to switch maps could create. Does that make sense?
It's in the works! We want to give you guys a "turn-it and drive-it" solution no matter what fuel/blend is in your tank, and that's what we'll deliver.
