Compare the high rpms of the two cars and factor in weight.

Even though your STi has huge torque in the low end, it falls off drastically. This matters because in high performance driving you are never in the low rpms. Whatever that driving may be. If your torque levels are similar in the higher rpms (which it looks like it based on your HP number) then the FRS in a simplistic test will be faster due to its weight advantage.

Also a turbo that small that gets exhausted in the higher RPMs will be blowing so much hot air into the motor. This over time (like a few laps) can reduce power. Heat soak is a concern.
