I just love small sports cars. But I never considered the Civic Si to be in that category. To me, it has always been just a sportier version of a very basic/bland car. Now, I would consider the Integra/RSX to be a sports car but of course, Honda killed that off. What irritates me about Honda is that they get involved in motorsports making these great engines and prototype cars like in Super GT but refuse to actually make sports cars for the road anymore. So on that basis, I refuse to buy a Honda.
To be fair, I felt that way about Toyota in the last decade too. Despite being in Formula 1, they also seemed to give up on sports cars but it's pretty clear that they have turned from their foolish ways and are embracing the sport again.
