I'm still waiting for my R1s which I believe have similar off-the-shelf rates and hoping to get some guidance from you on where the lower perch is to get you at 1". I'm hoping to get max height (I know i'm crazy) which I hear results in about 30mm drop but i'm going off my crappy memory for this. If you were able to get 1" that's less than 30mm which would be fantastic.
20mm drop is just enough to clear most parking blocks and over the years i've had enough of tearing up front lips
