On Hella-Everyone in my generation (mid 20's) from California, and I mean everyone, associates it with NorCal/the Bay Area. I went to school on the central coast and people who said it were mercilessly teased by the Orange County/LA/San Diego crowd if they used it too much.
and "THE 405" is definitely a SoCal thing. My parents gave me crap about that after I did my first internship in southern California.
