Meaning, If you cant afford to go out and buy another one, you probably shouldn't be taking on the risk. That's the way I see it anyways, though I know this approach may be too cautious for some.
I agree with you that it is a serious risk. No one wants to crash their car out there. The safety reps will ensure everyone knows that you are not racing. This is a just for fun event and keep your distance and maintain control there is no point in.going all out it's not like you get a prize. AutoX is a little different you go all out because you are in a competition. You just have to have the right mindset and pay attention to everything while your out there and you should be just fine.
