For buyers like me who don't like to upgrade to aftermarket parts unless it add performance to the car, I don't want to waste the money. Scion always think they can make profit because youngsters will upgrade to their poorly designed add-ons. Most of the young tuners don't buy that shit anyways. Only the old grandmas and stupid women drivers fall those sales from dealerships.
I totally agreed with you that stock turbo cars are more reliable and I am really not a fan of add-on turbos either. That is why I will wait in the future when the BRZ 2nd generation will have a turbo version if 1st gen does good in sales.

Because if you think about it, if Scion comes out with something nice as a "standard" (ok the word again is "standard") the price is only going to go up...
If they made the "standard" low end, and have the "option" (here is the new word "option") to upgrade, then the people who can afford it can... While the people that can't can still get this "driver's" car... Because they want to buy it to "drive" it and not live in it...
With that aside, who's to say they won't have options for the two tone stuff / stitches with different colors? We've seen samples of it... Who is to say they won't have push to start and such?
The people complaining about complainers are doing it because they (complainers) are not open minded enough to think about the long term / aftermarket... They are not open minded enough to wait for a full options list... They are also not open minded enough to think if Rearco sold bucket seats to Toyobaru for this car as a standard or an option, it'll cost more than if you gone out there to buy it yourself...
You said you don't want to waste money buying non go fast parts... Well, if you got any flare parts as standard option you've just wasted your money...
One example is this... TRD contracted Stoptech to produced the BBK for the X-Runner for IIRC almost 3K... The same kit can be bought by 3rd party vendors under the Stoptech name for about $500 less... So long story short, keep the car as simple as possible, the money you aren't spending on the car can all go to aftermarket...
If the car's price is more affordable because of it, for the people that HAVE money to blow, WHERE IS THE BEEF? Can I haz some of your monies?
