It's quit comical how much some of us from this forum knew versus the sales rep we bought from. The guy I bought from was really a stand up guy but had his information all wrong, possibly due to poor training from the dealership. He was coming up on a year at the dealership that I bought my FRS from, drove a stupid clean slightly modded silvia s14 (that he bought from the dealership 4 weeks prior as he got his corolla totaled in an accident), and I was his first FRS sale. The car that we wanted to have a look at was parked right outside of the show room floor but at an angle to another adjacent car on a curb, so our salesman was going to have to back it out and down a narrow ramp to have it ready for us. I stood there and watched the guy go into 6th gear 3 times and scratch his head wondering why he couldn't get the car to go into reverse, I couldn't help myself but stand there and giggle. My fiancee was a lot nicer than me and he helped point out where and how to get into reverse and the salesman admitted that he didn't even know the FRS was a 6-speed, nevermind that the reverse gear was in the opposite direction relative to his 5-speed s14. The icing on the cake was that even though it was December of 2012, this was his first time ever driving the FRS that day. I bought from one of the highest volume dealerships in all of central Florida, they had 5 FRSs on the lot that day alone.
