I'm surprised they're even having someone come by to look at it. It doesn't hurt tho especially if they actually end up doing something at no cost to you but definitely look into CarPro IronX or TRIX.
I used to spot claybar my white car all the time to get rid of these 'rust spots' but you may end up with some light marring once you clay (which you can afford on a white car). But IronX gets it out with ease. I haven't tested it myself but IronX should not strip off opti-coat so if its rail dust sitting on your layer of opti-coat you should have no problem removing it and continuing on with regular maintenance?
