My first car that was given to me was a 97 corolla and my god it took like 5 whole seconds for it to change gears and once hitting passed 60 the car felt like it was going to fall apart on the road and i would die. Then had a 96civic that was a lot better with classic roll up windows etc power felt cool cause it actually accelerated. Then now with the BRZ, MT, leather bucket seats, power windows (lol) the power, handling and the community between other 86 drivers feels amazing
