In the side view, when they come off the plenum they look narrow, but they flare out to quite wide towards the head where the port injectors are. But in the front view the alternator is blocking the view from that angle, so it's difficult to say if they are expanding, or just changing shape.
Is this thing using TGV's/variable intake runners? Subaru and Toyota both use them currently, except the D4-S 2GRFSE motor doesn't.
