Obviously not knowing what was actually happening as I was not there, I'll just put in one of my experiences from when I had my AW11.
It had been raining for a week but the road was relatively dry, and I was sitting at a t intersection turning right. No traffic so I started off. I was not being stupid, I barely accelerated at all, and as I hit the 90degree turn at 10-15kph the car just slid out and spun nearly 360 degrees.
I sat there for a second dumbfounded as to how it could possibly have happened and then left.
What I'm saying is that it does not take much to get loose, even at parking speeds. And there are many variables that we may not be aware of...he may not even have been aware of them.
And even if he removed his TC/SC by holding for 4secs or even the peddle dance, what makes that irresponsible?
Only he knows his abilities and the exact conditions.
I always drive with my nannies off unless it is icy roads where I have sport on.
The reasoning behind that for me and because if I screw up and have accidentally pulled in front of someone, it can sometimes be safer to accelerate out of the way rather than to stop in front of an oncoming vehicle. The last thing I need is the rear tyres to be in a low traction situation, try and accelerate and have the traction control control my acceleration.
I like to be in control of my own car thank you.
