It does depend on the dealer.
Subaru however gets regional people involved when there are high dollar repairs or things that might look like abuse. After all the warranty claims with the WRX/STi it seems these days they claim abuse first and you have to prove it wasn't... Subaru is also a much smaller company than Toyota/Scion.
