I really dont think it was ever intended to mislead, it was purely a big misunderstanding. And i corrected it as soon as i could. I did it from the show rather than wait until i got back to the hotel!
But, i think this has probably done more good than harm
As when i thought there was only going to be limited numbers i made the decision that i was going to make sure i get one of these cars.
Before this incorrect news, i was unsure to to whether or not i would buy a brand new car on its release or wait a year or so to get a cheaper 2nd hand 86.
Im sure this has made others decide straight away now too whether or not they will commit to placing an order to secure a brand new car
