Honestly I'm not certain. I replaced rotors and pads when the car had ~40,000 miles with the ceramics and DBA street series slotted rotors. I got rid of the car with ~70,000 miles on it and I would say that the pads had more than half their life left. I'm very easy on brakes, though, since my commute is 45 miles one way all highway and I don't tailgate/slam my brakes every opportunity I get.

I should also say that although the ceramics did dust less (it buys you basically a week or 2 of less dust than stock), the noise was probably equal to stock. Stock making basically no noise.
