I've had my baby in the garage all winter and just finally took it out on Monday for the year.
That said, I have no desire to try and hypermile. I bought this car as my summer toy and as a reward for working long hours.
That said, if the road is clear I will shift at 5000 RPMs, always downshift, and often blip the throttle when doing so. I also heel and toe around corners when there's no cars around.
Do whatever you enjoy! The car was meant to be driven spiritedly and it won't break so easily. Also, you have 3 years warranty and longer for powertrain (5 years?). If you can afford an extra $20 worth of gas a week it's well worth it. Especially if you have a sweet sweet sounding exhaust as I have.
